Post Modern "Color Bowl" Silk Screen Print by Daniel Gelakoska Dated 1986
About the Item
This is a very bold, graphic and visually-arresting serigraph titled "Color Bowl" by Daniel Gelakoska (1945-2015). Gelakoska was a graduate of Kendall College of Art and Design and Grand Rapids, MI and worked for Herman Miller.
Dated 1986, numbered 47/200 and signed in pencil, the print measures 10" high and 13" wide. The site size (mat opening) is 9" x 9" and the overall size with mat is 14" x 14". The print is hinged to the mat with acid-free linen tape. There are no tears or creases to the print, however, the paper where the print is exposed is slightly darker than under the matted area. The mat may not be acid-free so a new mat is recommended when framing.
We have two other Gelakoska prints listed on 1stdibs which are equally striking.
