Set Of 12 18th Century Italian Etchings of Roman Oil Lamps, Herculaneum

About the Item

A set of 12 framed copper etched plates depicting various ancient oil lamps excavated from Herculaneum in the 18th century. These high quality etching show in exquisite detail the great quality and variety of the oil lamps from the first excavations. Published in Naples 1792 "Le Lucerne Ed I Candelabri D'Ercolano" 21 inches high 17 wide framed. In ebonized black frames, acid free mounts, UV protected plexiglass. These can be purchased singly or in pairs or groups. A total 12 are available. $4950. for 12 or $495.00 each
