About the Item

After the 17th century prints of Gerard Audran ( founder of the school of engraving in Paris 1640-1703 ) a set of four signed Gerard Audran engravings on high quality embossed paper of allegorical caryatids. These engravings are of the Raphael Urbino's painted figures in the room of Heliodorus in the Vatican. Navigation, Commerce, La Paix, Woman & Man Half Caryatids. All with blind stamp bottom center - Calcographie Musees Nationaux du Louvre - founded in 1797 ( blurry in our pictures - see img. 10 ) Beautifully mounted in quality black & silver leaf wood frames w/ mat & glass. Framed - 25 1/2" h x 15 3/4" w x 1" d / image size - 17 1/2" h x 8 1/2" w. Look at all pictures and read condition report in comment section.
