About the Item
Coming out of the Op Art tradition, this set of six framed serigraphs form part of artist David Roth's investigation into perception using a mathematical formula to compose grids of colored dots that appear to dissolve into one another on the paper's surface.
Each silkscreen, from 1979 and 1980, is signed by the artist in pencil. The measurements are as framed.

David Roth
David Roth studied with Aaron Siskind and Harry Callahan at the Chicago Institute of Design in the early 1960s. He was represented by New York City's Robert Elkon Gallery in the 1970s, and his works are in numerous museums, such as the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Brooklyn Museum and the Albright-Knox Art Museum, as well as in corporate and private collections.
