André Borderie (1923–1998) La Tou de Feu Signed “Borderie”and numbered “1/3” Wool tapestry handwoven by Atelier C.Legoueix Measure: 218 x 268 cm Edition: 1/3 Created in circa 1970 André Borderie was a French painter and sculptor born in 1923. It’s Paul Colin, whom he met in 1942, who leads him to painting. A few years later, Borderie meets sculptors Vera and Pierre Székely, and he decides to dedicate himself to his artistic career. In 1948, he creates an artist Community and concentrate his production on ceramic until the 1970s. He died in 1998 at the age of 75.
