Late 19th century wrapping cloth / furoshiki, Japan Hand-drawn resist-dyed (tsutsugaki) in natural indigo, this large wrapping cloth (furoshiki) displays a unique family crest (mon) associated with a prominent theater family lineage. The bold graphics show a striking simplicity of form, further enhanced by contrasting shades of indigo.
