C. Jere Bicycle Wall Sculpture

About the Item

This 1970s Curtis Jeré "Bicycles" wall sculpture is a wonderful example of the artistry and craftsmanship of Curtis Freiler and Jerry Fels, founders of Artisan House in Los Angeles. Designed under their collaborative C. Jeré signature, this sculptural composition features a series of intricately crafted bicycles executed in brass, copper, and enameled metal. The combination of materials enhances the piece with rich textures and warm metallic tones. The horizontally elongated work makes a bold visual statement with the layered bicycle forms creating a dynamic sense of movement, and the enameled accents adding depth and contrast. An aged patina has also developed beautifully over time, further enhancing its originality, character and appeal. In remarkable vintage condition, this signed C. Jeré sculpture remains highly collectible, and ready to hang by its original metal hooks welded to the back.
