Beautifully conceived and carved, this evocative and dignified bas relief sculptural panel of an Eagle Owl, looking downward toward his next prey, perhaps, was carved by Don Griffith, a WPA artist in Colorado. Dated 1933, the panel was carved out of a warm piece of American walnut.
