About the Item
The MELTING POT SERIES is not just a mere physical entity, but rather a profound representation of the beauty of diversity and a celebration of multiculturalism. It is a place of fusion, an encounter of cultures, elements, mixtures, and contaminations. Here, figuratively, it becomes the place, the environment, and the experience where a fruitful fusion of different elements takes place. The refractory clay base has undergone multiple high-temperature firings, which have resulted in the perfect melting point of different soils drawn from different corners of the world. The striking three-dimensional geometry of the piece is characterized by the unique blend of multiple soil types, featuring intricate patterns of cracks and drops that seem to flow in perfect harmony. Signed on the back, unique piece, to be hung with hooks or to be placed.

Elena Pelosi

Elena Pelosi has a strong passion about art, and her artistic work has been locally exhibited and included in private collections. She started using clay during her study in “Restoration of ceramic and glass” in Venice.
Her studies and her passion for multimedia, painting, chemistry, and photography are the roots of her interdisciplinary approach to design and love of materials. She carries out personal research on design and arts by traveling all around the world, studying different cultures, and raw materials, and realizing projects for residences, furnishings, collections, and decorations rich with cross-references. Some years ago, she resumed her exploration of ceramic and its potential. She focuses on an alchemical knowledge of natural materials and their reactions, in relation to philosophical ideas on transformation and regeneration,.
Thanks to a common passion for ceramics, a collab between a designer, Elena Pelosi, and a creative director, Luca Lanzoni, at the historical fornace Curti in Milan, leads to limited editions and events, in order to promote a modern approach to ceramic, among art, design and fashion. They called this project MADE IN FORNACE.
