Late Deco Diamond and Pink Sapphire Piglet Brooch, c.1940s
About the Item
A sweet piglet brooch dating back to 1940s, the Late Deco era. The piglets body is made up of 1.00 carat of grain set diamonds with seven pink sapphires going around its body. The vivid pink sapphires total to 0.54 carat and are oval in shape. There is one small ruby set in as the piglets eye and enamel has been used to create its charming feet. Adding even more character to this piglet is a small gold hoop going through its nose. The piglets tail has been made in 18ct yellow gold whilst the remainder of its body has been made in platinum.
