Large Antique Art nouveau Peacock eye Pin /brooch attributed to Piel Frères in Paris, France . Pin features a central foil glass set on an what looks like copper as base metal with enamel work on front side. Most likely pin is converted from an belt buckle long time ago . Unsigned but without any doubt Piel Frères work. Glass and enamel eye of a peacock, has been attributed to Piel Freres, that worked in France from 1855 – 1925 . Materials : glass enamel metal Measures : Pin is 1 3/4 inches in diameter Condition : As mentioned above its most likely converted from a belt buckle . Can see enamel loss (please see photos for details ) and light surface wear to glass which is noticeable under magnifying glass (no major cracks or chips seen ) . Considering its age its in good antique condition with some age related wear .
