Sleeping Beauty Turquoise Earrings in 18 Karat Gold with Diamonds & Sapphires
About the Item
These extraordinary new earrings by Eytan Brandes feature 9 carats of chewy, natural, undyed Sleeping Beauty turquoise. We purchased these cabochons at a trade show in 2022 from Lunawat Gems, which carries an impressive stock of this costly and increasingly rare turquoise variety.
To show them off, Eytan created textured, drippy frames of rich 18 karat yellow gold and set them with a half carat of round precious gemstones: dark and light sapphires, white diamonds and green diamonds,
Each earring is different, and the pair is one-of-a-kind.
With the graceful shepherd's hook wires, the total drop is 34mm (1.34") and the total weight is 7.7 grams. (Note for size comparison purposes that our creepy disembodied ear mannequin doo-dad is life-sized.)
The stone weights and measurements are provided below.
10 dark sapphires (1.3mm each): 0.11 carats
6 light sapphires (1.6mm each): 0.12 carats
7 white diamonds (1.2mm to 1.5mm each): 0.05 carats
16 green diamonds (1.7mm each): 0.26 carats
2 turquoise cabochons (15.5mm x 12.4mm each): 9.45 carats
All stones are earth-mined.
