250 Carat Black Diamond Bead Choker Necklace with Garnet Clasp in 18 Karat Gold
About the Item
This stunning choker boasts 55 sparkling black diamond beads. Each bead is different, but they're all roughly 8mm in size, weighing about 4.5 carats apiece.
The box-shaped mystery clasp is an amazing piece of gemsetting. Over 100 tiny round black diamonds are precisely set in rows over the front, back and sides, with each side having a different sized stone. The front of the box also features a deep red 4 carat almandine garnet framed in a hammered bezel of natural* 18 karat white gold.
Mystery clasps are most often seen in pearl necklaces, with one pearl actually serving as the receiving end for the clasp's pin. Here, the "pearl" is actually the large box pendant clasp, and the pin protrudes from a solid ball of white gold set with yet more tiny round black diamonds. To open the clasp, you just press the ball into the box and turn.
