About the Item
We bought these gorgeous, genuine Tahitian pearls at a trade show in 2023. These are slightly graduated (11mm to just under 12mm) lustrous, multi-colored off-round baroques, mostly silver, but there's some browns, plus one lovely golden center pearl and a couple of pistachios.
While these pearls show some characteristic natural flaws (pitting and circles), they're the kinds of flaws that we like -- they highlight the natural diversity of these amazing organic gems -- as opposed to the kinds of flaws (such as chalky white or black blemishes) that distract and scream "I'm a pearl that just barely missed the 'reject' bucket!"
The closure is a frosty 11mm ball clasp that you won't mind creeping from the back of your neck to the front! It's set with thirty tiny single-cut diamonds. The total diamond weight is probably around 0.10 carats. The diamonds are natural (i.e., earth-mined) and unusually clean for this sort of application. (Most manufacturers use I1-I3 stones on clasps, and these are more like SI1-2.)
Strung on silver-grey silk and fully knotted, of course.
At 16", this is a choker-length strand, but all things are possible at Eytan's: if you would like a longer necklace, our pearl dealer will help us find the perfect pearls to "top it off." Just let us know your desired length and we'll give you adjusted pricing for the additional pearls and restringing.
