Dimos 22k Gold Museum Copy God of Love "Eros" Necklace
About the Item
The EROS (God of love) necklace. A Macedonian treasure that was found in the excavation of king Phillips Palace father of Alexander the great and married to Olympia. Necklace that was commissioned for the queen of the Macedonians in the mid fourth century BC showcasing the love of the king and husband Philip. What a better subject than Cupid himself. Decorated with a acanthus leaves spirals and carved miniature statue of gold.
The endings are hosting to Lionhead‘s but they meet at the back of the necklace and we have created several round loops of gold so a part of the perfect size accommodates the specific opening of any gown. The retrieved necklace it’s exhibited in the archeological Museum of Thessaloniki (The second largest city of Greece).
