19th Century Diamond Gold Landscape Moss Agate Pendant
About the Item
A wondrous specimen piece of agate known as moss agate exhibits the likeness of a tree naturally formed. The stone was chosen for its natural pattern and cut then smoothly polished to an oval with sensitivity. It is the opaque color of the moon. Set in a wreath of forget-me-nots and leaves, the jewel sends the message "think of me" in the Victorian Language of Flowers. This glorious presence is suspended by a bale of diamonds and topped at top with a heart shaped bow ending in a flourish of ribbon. Who could ask for more loving thoughts.? The chain is for display only. We have chains to offer priced individually. Condition is superb. Measurements: Height 2 3/8 by W. 1 1/4.
Be it legend or fact to the individual believer, moss agate is known as the gardeners' stone. It is associated with healing energy, and abundance and luck to the owner.
