Ancient Roman Goddess Victoria Coin 18K Gold Pendant

About the Item

An authentic silver "denarius" coin from the Roman Empire 193-211 AD, depicts the goddess Victoria advancing, holding a wreath and trophy. Victoria, the personification of victory, was originally a Latin goddess and protectress of fields and woods. Over time she was associated with Roman success in war and identified with the Greek goddess Nike. The opposite side of the coin is a bust of the Emperor Septimius Severus, who strengthened and revived the empire after a period of decline. This coin is set in a signature Steven Battelle designed handmade handmade 18K gold setting surrounded by radiating "triple jawan" granulation. It is sent with a laminated lifetime coin certificate of authenticity. The 18K handmade hammered chain shown is not included, but can be ordered additionally. It comes in 18”, 20”, and 24” lengths. We discount our chains 20% when ordered with a pendant. Historic!
