An early 20th century ruby and diamond pendant, the oval faceted ruby weighing 1.56 carats accompanied by The Gem & Pearl laboratory stating to be Burmese origin with no indication of heating, rub-over millegrain-set in yellow gold and suspended within a knife-edge platinum and gold frame set with eight old-cut diamonds, with a knife edge bar top set with a single old-cut diamond, the diamonds estimated to weigh 1 & ¼ carats in total, to a fine white gold trace chain with bullet-shaped clasp, circa 1930, the pendant measuring 4.5 x 2.2cm, the chain measuring 42cm long, gross weight 3.9 grams. This vintage pendant is in very good condition for its age. Unmarked tested as platinum and 18ct gold, with 18ct gold chain and clasp. A gorgeous ruby and diamond pendant. This pendant features an enchanting ruby of a rich pigeon blood red colour surrounded by an elegant gold frame set with shining diamonds. The ruby, which acts as the remarkable centerpiece to this beautiful pendant, hangs from an elegant top-bar and dainty trace chain.
