About the Item
A stunning antique, Victorian era mourning ring.
So full of sentiment, these Mourning rings have tonnes of symbolism, the buckle traditionally signifying holding someone close so a great fit for a Mourning piece.
Rich 9kt yellow gold, it is heavily engraved with a band of woven hair running through the centre of the band, the front of the ring is engraved JW.
The engraving on this one is truly beautiful and it is an exceptionally well made piece, a real beauty with an unusual design.
Marks and era:
It is fully hallmarked for 9ct gold, Chester assay office, 1886.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, minor light surface wear commensurate with age and use.
