About the Item

An Edwardian emerald and diamond ring, the rectangular-cut faceted emerald estimated to weigh 0.6 carats and vertically-set between two old European-cut diamonds estimated to weigh ¼ carat each, all surrounded by a navette-shaped frame encrusted with small old cut diamonds, the diamonds estimated to weigh a combined total of ¾ carat, millegrain-set in platinum to yellow gold back, the gold tapering D-section shank, circa 1905, measuring 1.8 x 2cm, finger size K ½, gross weight 3.3 grams. This antique ring is in very good condition with signs of wear consistent with its age. Unmarked, tested as platinum and 18ct gold. An elegant and sophisticated dress ring. This antique piece features a central deep green emerald cut emerald set in a delicate diamond mount with two scintillating old-cut diamonds and a further array of glittering diamonds. The gold band provides a warm complement to the emerald and the diamonds. This ring comes from the collection of Bentley & Skinner, the London jewellers by appointment to both Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales and is a lovely example of turn of the century design. The finger size of most of our rings can be adjusted and our workshop will be happy to do this free of charge. If you do not know your finger size please request us to post you a finger measure. Should you choose to make this purchase we would be delighted to send it to you in a Bentley & Skinner handmade leather case packed in a gift-wrapped Bentley & Skinner black and gold presentation box. Shortly afterwards we will send you on a valuation for insurance purposes for your reference and safekeeping.
