A rectangular 8 x 10 mm rose cut tanzanite is held in a simple hammered bezel atop a shaped heavy gold shank (12.9 grams) that tapers between the fingers for comfortable wearing. A deeply hammered matte-finish is applied to create a look that might have been forged by an alchemist in ages past. Unashamedly unique and one of a kind! For a special person only.

Steven Battelle
After a chance trip to SouthEast Asia in 1987, Steven Battelle became fascinated with the jewelry and iconology from the ancient cultures of Egypt, Mesopotamia, Greece, and Asia. Eventually forming a partnership with a dedicated group of Balinese village goldsmiths using painstaking handmade techniques, they together create unique designs that incorporate those timeless and classic motifs. He incorporates primarily cabochon gemstones as well as ancient Greek and Roman coins, each piece capturing the feelings of a bygone age.
