About the Item
A 13 x 15 mm rose faceted oval tanzanite is set horizontally in an tall 18K gold bezel decorated with a wire "spiral hearts" motif with inset flat "jawan" granulation between. A similar pattern extends to the sides on the matte-finish tapered shank.
This ring is currently sized 7.5. It is resizable by your local jeweler. Its a wonderful example of artisanal hand fabrication techniques. Some lucky person will love this!

Steven Battelle
After a chance trip to SouthEast Asia in 1987, Steven Battelle became fascinated with the jewelry and iconology from the ancient cultures of Egypt, Mesopotamia, Greece, and Asia. Eventually forming a partnership with a dedicated group of Balinese village goldsmiths using painstaking handmade techniques, they together create unique designs that incorporate those timeless and classic motifs. He incorporates primarily cabochon gemstones as well as ancient Greek and Roman coins, each piece capturing the feelings of a bygone age. If you wish to create your own special piece, similar to a style we make, please let us know, and we'll see what we can do.
