An antique five stone emerald ring, the five octagonal-cut emeralds weighing 1.1 carats in total, claw-set in yellow gold mount with carved shoulders, hallmarked 18ct gold, London, 1998, measuring 2 x 0.6cm, finger size M, gross weight 4.9 grams.
This vintage ring is in very good condition.
A charming vintage five stone ring featuring emeralds. This ring is on sale at Bentley & Skinner, the London jewellers by appointment to both Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales. Rings with a five stone design were extremely popular in the Victorian period and were also commonly known as curved half hoop designs. Half hoop rings were often given as engagement rings, and had deep romantic sentiment attached to them. The emeralds featured in this ring shine beautifully, and their rich and verdant colour contrasts wonderfully with the 18-carat yellow gold mount.
