Luxury Hand Hammered 22K Gold Wedding Band or Stacking Ring
About the Item
I'm pleased to offer another luxurious 22K gold band - this one with a delightful hand hammered finish that catches the light so prettily.
Crafted of solid 22K gold (still marked inside), the band has a rich, organic feel to it and a very nice heft. I'm estimating it to date to the 1930s, but it could also be a little earlier or later.
Measuring approximately 2.78 - 2.65 mm wide and approximately 2 mm thick, I'd classify it as narrow, but not as slim as a slender band, and definitely quite sturdy. (since 22K is relatively soft, having some heft is desirable) On my scale, the ring has a good weight of 4.21 grams.
I love the hammered finish, which is more refined on the outside face, and a bit more rustic looking on the sides. The hammering and slightly rustic style gives the ring a really lovely organic feeling.
There is a slender seam at one spot likely from an old sizing - it's hard to see without magnification, but I have shown it in my macro photos in the very last photo.
Currently, the ring is fitting me around a size 5.25 to 5.5. (it registers smaller on my ring mandrel) I'm happy to hammer the ring a little larger for you at no cost (I have the right tools) and could bring it up to a size 5.75 or a bit higher. (it would also become slightly wider with hammering, with a slightly lower rise) Larger than that, I recommend having a jeweler size it by adding gold to keep it as sturdy as it is. It could also be sized down by a good jeweler, as well.
