Original Art Deco Diamond Eternity Wedding Band in Hand Engraved Platinum
About the Item
Offered is an original full eternity diamond wedding band ring dating to the Art Deco period.
Featuring 20 sparkly old single cut diamonds bead-set around the slender platinum band, the total estimated carat weight is approximately .165 carats. The bead settings do show expected wear, so I recommend retipping sometime in the near future.
Linear detail separates each diamond's setting, while the sides of the ring retain some beautiful hand engraved decoration. (it does show some expected wear to the engraved design, that to me gives it nice character and history)
Approximately 2.2 mm wide with a nice low rise off the finger of approximately 1.6 mm, the band works well paired with many engagement rings or could be worn alone (or stacked) for an elegantly understated look.
Currently fitting around a size 6 - the ring registers on my mandrel as a 5.75, but its slim design allows a more generous fit.
No hallmarks are present, but the ring has been tested. It's getting harder to find original bands from this period, so I was delighted to find this in a New England estate. I also have a lovely period wedding band listed without diamonds, if you prefer very crisp detail.

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. All original and in good antique condition, there is some expected wear to the hand engraving, as well as to the bead-settings.
