A fine sterling silver match holder. Designed by Harald Nielsen for Georg Jensen. Model no. 639. Simply a wonderful piece of Georg Jensen silver! Date: Early 20th Century Overall Condition: It is in overall fair, as-pictured, used estate condition. Condition Details: There are some light bends and indentations to the top, some light edge wear, surface scratches throughout (we don't believe this has been polished on a wheel for a very long time), and other signs of light wear consistent with age. Maker: Georg Jensen Marks: Marked to the base with the Georg Jensen factory mark for 1933-1944 / 925S / Denmark / Sterling / 639. Measurements: Height: ca. 2 3/8 in. Width: ca. 1 7/8 in.
