Rome, c1830’s Silver Sugar Bowl with 12 7-Pearl Coronet Sugar Spoons, F Grimaldi

Finds such as these are incredibly rare, that truly deserve a museum display. Property of the Nobleman - each sugar spoon engraved with 7-pearl coronet (for a Baron) It’s a fascinating piece of the early XIX century history, originating from Rome, Italy Crafted in silver with exceptional attention to details, this ornate sugar bowl features a trumpet shaped lid with goat finial, gadrooned stepped edge, folate flared over-hanging bowl top, round embossed bowl, round trumpet shaped pedestal base. Bearing a maker’s mark: "FI3G" (initials are inside lozenge), belonging to renowned artist Filippo Grimaldi, Roma (1803 - 1848) Each of the silver-gilt teaspoons is incredibly detailed, bearing a Crossed Key - Papal States hallmark & coronet ~~~ Total weight: 562gr. Height: 21cm Width: 19cm Despite dating from circa 1830’s, sugar bowl & teaspoons are in remarkably beautiful condition The intricate details and craftsmanship of these pieces are outstanding, making it a very important piece & potential valuable addition to your collection or home decor.
