Measurements: 36" long x 17" deep x 30" high (Open: 36" square)
Every home could use at least one card or games tables. Not only do they contribute aesthetically to a home's interior, but they are immensely practical and function well as a side table, end table, lamp table, and/or as a small breakfast table. Because of their narrow depth, game tables are useful in hallways, behind a sofa in a living room or as a small serving table...

American Grecian-Style Mahogany Pier Table w/ Nero Portoro Marble, Meeks & Sons
By Joseph Meeks
Located in Miami, FL
Attributable to the New York cabinetmaker, Joseph Meeks & Sons, a very beautiful American Empire console or pier table in the Grecian style in fine West Indies mahogany with Italian black, nero portoro marble top that has white & some warm gold veins. New York, circa 1830. Top rests over a base whose apron offers a sculpted ogee edge & is supported by "S" shaped volutes. An inset mirror takes up a good part of the back, allowing for the reflection of light as well as affording the ability to check one's clothing & shoe apparel. Customarily, a pier table like this would have been placed at an entrance, hallway or staircase landing & would have been paired with a tall vertical mirror which would have hung above the table or partially rested on top of it. Original porcelain casters are concealed within the square feet. Restored in our workshop with a French polish finish.

Antique Empire/ Biedermeier Chest of Drawers in West Indies Mahogany, Denmark
Located in Miami, FL
A beautiful Danish Empire or Biedermeier chest in fine West Indies mahogany with four drawers of staggered heights. The handsome figuring of the grain is given added movement by the flat cut contiguous veneer moving horizontally across the front of the chest.. The sides also have a flat cut veneer in one piece that was at the intersection of the huge branch or fork in the tree showing the knot and the concentric circles of the grain radiating out from the knot. Chest offers a pedestal top and rests on turned front feet, with diamond-shaped inlaid satinwood key insets. The top and bottom drawers have sculpted fronts. The secondary wood is pine as is traditional in Scandinavian cabinetry. Denmark, circa 1830.
