Located in Hele, Devon, GB
This is a vintage wing-back arm chair. An English, oak lounge seat with Gothic revival taste, dating to the mid 20th century, circa 1950. Striking carvings accentuate this generously sized chair to a fine distinction Displays a desirable aged patina - some loss to upholstery throughout Fascinating oak stocks skilfully carved with aplomb Ready to enjoy as is, but ripe for re-upholstery in keeping with the amazing show frame Prominent wings provide a shield from the warmth of the fireside Relaxing padded arms adorned with 'star anise' press studs Excitement to the heavily carved knuckles in the form of lion masques Oak leaf carvings...

Pierre Chapo Model "S10" Sahara Chair, 1960s, France
By Pierre Chapo
Located in London Road, Baldock, Hertfordshire
A 1960s model "S10", also known as a "Sahara" chair, by the leading French modernist designer of the period, Pierre Chapo, whose work is highly sought after today. Produced in solid elm and highest quality saddle leather, the structure is held together by the tension of the leather seat on the frame. The chair features the "48x72" assembly technique which is present in many of Chapo's designs and whilst this shows complexity it contrasts with the simplistic overall design and a frame that can even be dismantled. This piece is in very nice condition, the frames show only minor signs of wear and the leather has been entirely replaced with the highest quality Belgium hide by an expert leather craftsman...
