This vase features a finely crafted bronze frame of good quality, in the German Art Nouveau / Jugendstil style. Recently mounted lamp: new electricity. Art Nouveau, France, circa 1900. Attributed to Paul Milet (1870-1950), son of the ceramist Félix Optat Milet and himself a ceramist, trained in the laboratory of the Manufacture de Sèvres. Proud to offer this matching PAIR of early 20th Century Austria Imperial Amphora “Lily-of-the-Valley” maiden vases. These vases were designed by Eduard Stellmacher and manufactured by Riessner & Kessel Amphora of Turn-Teplitz, Austria, in a very classic Art Nouveau style. They each depict a dimensional nymph figure partially ascending a large Lily of the Valley plant. There are many lily of the valley plants surrounding the figures and a couple of scrolling stems that pass through their long flowing hair.
