What is an indoor lounge chair called?
1 Answer
An indoor lounge chair is sometimes called a chaise longue. However, some people refer to chairs that allow you to elevate your feet while you sit as "lounge chairs," regardless of whether they are indoors or outdoors. Chaise longues differ from recliners, which have moving footrests that can be raised and lowered. On 1stDibs, shop a selection of vintage lounge chairs.

Trega Rosewood Leather Sling Lounge Chair by Tormod Alnaes for Sørlie Møbler
Located in Chattanooga, TN
This Rosewood Leather Sling Lounge Chair by Tormod Alnæs was completely disassembled and each piece of rosewood re-glued and detailed. The frame is now rock solid and special care was given to each joint to ensure rigidity. The original canvas was inspected and brushed clean. Of course, all of this was in addition to the new butterscotch-cognac leather upholstery. Our team kept the original tufting pattern and replaced all the interior cushioning as well. The terracotta color of the leather contrasts beautifully with the rosewood frame. The soft, supple leather has a slightly pebbled, texture feel. The button tufting pattern punctuates a subtle tailored look in accordance to the overall atmosphere of this illusive and iconic chair.
