On Intimacy
True intimacy is not born from words or touch — it arises in the space where one presence allows another to enter. It is a delicate field of trust, where there is no need to protect, prove, or explain. Intimacy begins where voices fall silent and a quietness appears that asks for nothing, but simply is.
We live in a time of an abundance of connections and a scarcity of contact. It is easy to be connected, but hard to be near. Even harder — to be truly open. Because intimacy exposes us. It removes the armor, and with it — the sense of control. It puts us face to face with ourselves, but through another. That is why it is so frightening and so necessary.
Intimacy is not always gentle. It can hurt. Because it touches the layers we have learned to hide: shame, vulnerability, fear of rejection. Yet it is precisely in intimacy that we meet our true selves — not assembled, not perfect, but alive.
To be in intimacy means to accept the unknown. To sail together in the waters of the unconscious, where there is no map, but there is something real. It is not always a union. Sometimes — just a brief encounter that leaves a trace. But it is these traces that shape what we call the life of the soul.
