Nayla Saroufim creates glossy balloon sculptures for display on a table or hanging on a wall or ceiling that challenge the traditional notion of the passive viewer. Saroufim's art is a rich mix of media. She was always captivated by the dialogue between painting, illustration, and graphics. Her work embodies her attraction to colors and interest in all forms of expression, especially installations. Her technique is unique and personalized: a fusion of mixed media and installations in layers of steel, copper, paint, and other elements. Saroufim strives to make her positivity and love of happiness appear in her art, sparking emotion and thoughts in viewers.
This sculpture measures 12-inches high by 9-inches wide. It sits on a steel base that measures 2 inches deep at its widest point. It is signed and dated underneath the base of the artwork. Nayla Saroufim was born in Beirut, Lebanon in 1982. She graduated from the Académie Lebanese des Beaux-Arts with a degree in Illustration and Art Direction. While working in the publicity field at several multinational advertising agencies, Saroufim began rekindling her interest in art. Creative, a dreamer, and a lover of color and beauty, Saroufim has been engaging in a creative expression of her personality through art for over a decade. She hopes that by looking at her art, people will realize that there is beauty and happiness in the simplest things.
Nayla Saroufim’s work has graced the walls of solo exhibitions including a show in London in December 2015 and one in Beirut in October 2013. Her work has been exhibited at the Beirut Art Fair, in Singapore, and at Asia Contemporary Art. Artspace Warehouse Los Angeles has exhibited her sculptural artworks since 2020.

Born in 1962 in Boulogne-Billancourt, France, Sebastien De Ganay studied political science and film at Columbia University in New York 1986-1990 ( (Bachelor of Political Science, Master of Fine Arts in Cinema) and is co-founder and editor of the art book publishing house onestar press. In addition to numerous exhibition participations, including the Centre Pompidou in Paris and the Landesmuseum Österreich in St. Pölten, Austria, the Institut Français in Vienna showed a comprehensive solo exhibition of the artist in 2014. In 2017, de Ganay realized a highly acclaimed installation for the Kunsthalle Krems. de Ganay lives and works in Austria.
de Ganay produces minimalist abstract art works, painting, relief and wall sculpture. Sculptures made of aluminum, linen fabric, plastic, oil painting, wood and other materials. de Ganay joins a tradition of experimental artists. In this sense, for example, the Achromes by the Italian Arte-Povera artist Piero Manzoni, created in the 1960s, point the way for de Ganay's examination of folded linen fabric.
"The process of de Ganay's Painting is the process of thought itself; it is a process which turns not away from painting, but towards it. And rather than seeing painting as closure, he presents his work to us as a space of multiple openings, layers, shadows and reflections. Painting is, as much as an object or a process, a state of flux."
(Adrian Searle, art critic for The Guardian, London (1994)) In the style of Readymades and Arte Povera, de Ganay starts out from a simple utility material and combines this with an examination of the surface in the tradition of Minimal Art. He designed a limited edition chair "PLEASE" a “4 Piece Chair” customized by John Baldessari, Lawrence Weiner and Rirkrit Tiravanija.

Daniel Cherbuin (b. 1971) lives and works in Zürich, Switzerland. At the beginning of commercial television he was the creative force behind Sputnik-TV, an innovative and experimental channel emerging from Zürich’s underground techno scene. Cherbuin’s works are today characterized by highly innovative montages, idiosyncratic alliances of images, as well as an anarchic tenor: with irony, and pastiche Cherbuin is mocking the blasé in pop culture.
The titles of the works Being and Nothingness and L’Être et le néant refer to French philosopher Jean-Paul Sartre’s key philosophical work Being and Nothingness (1943). Cherbuin’s works feature a beautiful woman slowly blinking while looking at the viewer, which becomes a symbol for solipsism, a theory discussed by Sartre in Being and Nothingness. This theory suggests that only what can be seen exists, and argues that the world would disappear if we wouldn’t see it. The open eyes of the woman, therefore, symbolize being, while her closed eyes represent nothingness.
In Cherbuin’s work Theory and Practice, the four-hour didactic DVD How to Look at and Understand Great Art is displayed on the TV screen inside the work. Mert & Marcus, as they are known in the industry, have worked for W, American Vogue, Pop, Numero and Arena Homme, among many other titles. Their commercial clients include Louis Vuitton , Gucci, Pucci, Versace, Missoni, Giorgio Armani , Roberto Cavalli, Fendi, Kenzo, MAC and Miu Miu. Their aesthetic is highly polished, colour-saturated and hyperreal.
The photographers were both born in 1971, Alas in Turkey and Piggott in Wales. The pair met in 1994 in England. At the time Piggott was a photographer’s assistant and Alas was a fashion model, and the two quickly built a rapport and decided to work together. Their joint abilities were clear from the beginning. The first photos the duo submitted to Dazed & Confused made the cover.
