About the Item

The artist's first and only tapestry, this woven work undeniably represents a major break in his practice, marking his desire to explore new territories. It is not a matter of retranscribing the complexity of a pure design into tapestry, but of playing on the rendering of materials and the subtle harmonies of color and brilliance of hundreds of threads woven together. This work unquestionably ranks among the artist's outstanding achievements of recent years. The design and production of the tapestry was entrusted to the Néolice workshops in Felletin (23).
