Jay Walker
Jay Walker is best known for his large-scale, site-specific street art installations and collector's pieces created with laser-cut vinyl, colored acrylic sheets, artist-made stencils, tape, and paint. His use of pattern, lines, color, and geometry references the aesthetic traditions of Sol Lewitt and Henri Matisse, applied to the contemporary experience. Walker earned his MFA from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia, and his BFA from Texas A&M at Corpus Christi. He has had international commissions across the US and internationally, and solo exhibitions at galleries throughout the mid-Atlantic and southwest.
