About the Item

Loli DiSanto’s Fra-GEE-leh (2025) is a playful and sparkling sculptural work crafted from hand-painted acrylic paper mâché, measuring 6 x 4.5 x 4.5 inches. Shaped like an egg, the piece is encrusted with 10,000–12,000 crystals that give it a dazzling, gem-like surface. Scattered across the sculpture are bedazzled “fragile” shipping stickers, humorously referencing the classic “fragile” label while transforming it into a shimmering visual pun. The juxtaposition of delicate materiality and over-the-top embellishment creates a whimsical tension between the precious and the absurd. Fra-GEE-leh is both a celebration of kitsch and a clever nod to the fragility of objects—and perhaps identity itself—through DiSanto’s signature blend of glamour, irony, and craftsmanship.
