A monotype is literally one of a kind; it is not a method of multiplication. The artist makes an image with a liquid medium on wood, metal or glass, and paper is laid over the moist image and bonded under pressure the paper is then removed bringing with it the transposed monotype.
John Walker (born 1939) is an English painter and printmaker. He has been called "one of the standout abstract painters of the last 50 years." Walker studied in Birmingham at the Moseley School of Art, and later the Birmingham School of Art and Académie de la Grande Chaumière in Paris. Some of his early work was inspired by abstract expressionist art and post-painterly abstraction, and often combined apparently three-dimensional, sculptural shapes with "flatter" elements. This limited edition (500, plus 25 artist's proofs) of hand-painted character cels (with backgrounds) from Walt Disney’s 1950 feature-length animated film, Cinderella, is one of a series of selected limited editions of original artwork from cartoon classics issued by The Walt Disney Company.
Since the original cels used in the production of Cinderella are no longer available the Studio has recreated the artwork using special techniques. The original animation drawings were inked by a Disney artist. and this inked line was transferred to acetate plastic "cels" by a special Xerox
process. The colors are Disney-created acrylic-based paints that were hand-applied by Disney painters. To protect the delicate lines and paints, each limited-edition cel in this series has been laminated on both sides with a clear plastic.

John Latham Volk (October 15, 1901 - February 20, 1984) was an Austrian architect who designed public buildings and private residences in and around Palm Beach, Florida from the 1920s until his death in 1984. Although there is no particular style exclusively associated with Volk, he worked with many styles from Mediterranean Revival to Modern. Volk was among a group of architects considered the “Big Five,” along with Marion Sims Wyeth, Addison Mizner, Maurice Fatio, and Howard Major, who defined Palm Beach style in the early twentieth century.
After working on designs for the Rivoli and Capital Theaters in New York, Volk came to Florida in 1925 with a commission to design a $1 million office building and bank in Key West. The deal fell apart due to the 1926 hurricane and the collapse of the Florida real estate boom. Volk, however, saw the opportunity for growth in Florida and decided to move to Palm Beach. By 1926, Volk had established his own practice in Palm Beach. Architect Gustav A. Maass joined as a partner from 1927 to 1937.
Volk's most significant commercial projects are the Royal Poinciana Plaza and additions and renovations to the First National Bank.
