Artist Carey Parks presents an impressionist still life of dainty flowers on a glass cylinder. Taking a small bunch from a large bouquet of flowers, Carey creates the painting in her studio. "I received the blooms as congratulations in an event," says Carey. The soft pink counter and the white background fittingly match the buoyant blossoms.
About the Artist
Carey Parks recreates the nostalgia of a family album in her familiar scenes. Some of her works actually take inspiration from her own photographs and places she has visited. She also creates up-close portraits and colorful landscapes. She frequently mixes paint directly on the canvas to create interesting color mixtures.
