The scene depicts a figure foraging, capturing the quiet, often overlooked moments that bring peace and joy. In this encaustic piece, artist Deborah Eyde emphasizes the connection between people and the natural world through simplified elements, embodying those in-between times that evoke calm and reflection.
About the Artist
Artist Deborah Eyde creates encaustic paintings that blend abstract shapes, colors, and textures, drawing inspiration from her daily life and surroundings. "One of my favorite things to do is take off my glasses to view the world—everything becomes simplified, abstract, and full of color and contrast," says Deborah. She discovered her artistic voice during a transformative year of art school in Italy, where exceptional teachers shaped her approach. Her studio, located in the attic of her home, is a spacious and sometimes chaotic environment, with sloping ceilings and minimal wall space. It serves as her creative space and where she packages and stores her work. Music plays a constant role in fueling her inspiration. Outside of the studio, Deborah enjoys hiking, traveling, and walking her dogs, always seeking new experiences to inspire her paintings.

"After a seemingly eternal summer, five little birds snug in their nest, silently enduring the chill and wind," describes artist Jessica JH Roller. The birds each carry a unique design, colored in similar hues of turquoise, black, beige, and brown. A bright band of orange and turquoise appears above the birds shifting into beige and dark green hues. A balanced composition painted in folk-art style with an energetic palette.
About the Artist
A few months after Jessica JH Roller and her husband were married, they adopted two young Siamese cats from a shelter -- Tony and Larry. Jessica quickly fell deeply in love with the kittens and says the cats changed her. "They opened my eyes - I started to notice birds, trees, water, color, everything. It was as if the artist inside had been unleashed.†Jessica uses bold colors and primitive linework to create whimsical, expressive portraits. She intends to capture real or imagined moments that are both common and extraordinary.

"The moon and stars twinkle in the night sky while lights from windows create their own firmament," describes artist Pat Forbes. A charming cityscape created with marks, scratches, and drips of color. Irregularly built structures stack up to the starry night sky in a cool monochrome palette. The result is a quirky and captivating piece.
About the Artist
Pat Forbes is an abstract painter whose aesthetic is heavily influenced by her 20 years as a collector and dealer of Middle Eastern textiles. Pat, who lives on the west coast of Florida, uses a neutral palette to present her interpretation of the world around her– from marshes and mountains to stones and spiderwebs. She is drawn to pattern and design, both of which influence the use of balanced repetition in her work. Pat’s muted colors invite pensive meditation, while her deliberate use of line guides the eye through satisfyingly symmetrical compositions.
