This lot is composed of three items, (1921-1933), in French, excellent condition, including original envelope on letterhead paper:
- Autograph Letter Signed by F. LeGrix to the Countess. Paris, February 21st 1921. One page, single-sided. On letterhead paper "La Revue Hebdomadaire";

- Typewritten Letter Signed. Guethary, September 8th 1933. Two pages, double-sided. With autograph notes by Le Grix, and attached card with autograph notes in Italian by the Countess Pecci-Blunt.
Through the marquise and mutual friend Isabel d'Elbée, Francois Le Grix, director of La Revue Hebdomadaire, meets the Countess Pecci-Blunt, during evenings and fashionable lunches. After the publication, on January 1st, 1933, of the controversial "Vingt Jour chez Hitler-Tableaux d'une Révolution" by Francois Le Grix, the Countess wrote to the director asking her report on the very serious political situation of Central Europe could be published on his magazine. Thus François Le Grix writes this long typewritten letter, explaing all his hesitations and concerns regarding the publication of a Countess' article on the political Austrian situation.
La Revue Hebdomadaire was a French literary weekly review founded in 1892 by Fernand Laudet and published until 1939. In 1908, this review absorbed Le Monde moderne and femme today.After having been its secretary in the 1910s, then its editor in chief in November 1920, succeeding René Moulin, François Le Grix (1881-1966) became its director from October 1922 to 1939.
Countess Anna Laetitia Pecci-Blunt (Rome, 1885 - Marlia, 1971)
Best-known as "Mimì" Pecci-Blunt , the Italian noblewoman was an art collector, patron and nephew of Pope Leo XIII. Extremely volcanic, she was very active in the cultural field, opening numerous lounges, galleries and theaters. In 1919 she married Cecil Blumenthal, later changed to Blunt, a wealthy Jewish banker from New York, heir to an important collection of nineteenth-century French painting. His Parisian and Roman salons was frequented by artists and intellectuals of the caliber of Salvador Dalì, Paul Valery, Poulenc, Paul Claudel, and Aldo Palazzeschi!
