Franka Lechner was born in Vienna in 1944. The woven tapestrie-artworks constitute an important part of her oeuvre. The boundaries between the different media in have become fluid: "Everything is possible". Within this plurality, she sees the process of weaving as an "ancient instrument instrument that can be played anew". In her position as a weaving artist, she perceives that weaving is above all an energetic, organising and structuring process with a meditative character: the factor of time plays a major role, not only in the technical technical process of weaving, but also in the consciousness of the artist's consciousness. It is not only about images, structures, colours and formal problems, colours and formal problems, but also about spatial concepts of a special kind that link space and time.
