An original painting by Christina Sadler, also known as Maker Who Doesn't Make. Landscape in my mind was created by allowing the inks and acrylics to take on a life of their own. Christina is inspired by the natural world and how its uncertainty is similar to what people experience in day to day life; how you can control some things but not everything. This is reflected in the way she paints, allowing the paint to flow and drip but then removing or altering the layers. She says "This landscape was one that appeared through the act of painting. When painting I focus on shapes and colours. I pour, drizzle, scrub, remove and drip. The painting changes throughout the process. Areas once hidden have paint removed and are basked in bright white, while others are washed with inks and covered in a blanket of paint."
