"Sycamores" Abstract Expressionist Composition in Acrylic on Paper
Bold and expressive composition by Ellen Marie Jones (American, b. 1961). Several botanical shapes resembling trees are overlapping to create a textured, complex composition. Layers of blue, green, yellow, and white paint are blended together to create a variety of patterns.
Signed and dated "Ellen Marie Jones 86" in the lower left corner.
Artist's card and label on verso.
Presented in a wood frame with the original mats.

Ellen Marie Jones (nee Yetter; American, b. 1961) graduated from East Stroudsburg State University of Pennsylvania in 1981 with a Bachelors in Fine Arts. Jones is the founder of Shades of Grace Visual Arts Ministry and Bethel Gallery and was the director for seven years. Her work has been shown in the Beaches Museum & Historical Center Jacksonville, Florida, Karpeles Museum, Santa Barbara, and Ponte Vedra Cultural Center Jacksonville Florida.
