About the Item
Fragments is an original contemporary artwork / artist book realized by Jannis Kounellis and Giorgio De Dominicis in 1992.
Edition n.16 of 40. The book has been printed in 40 copies all numbered in Arabic numerals and 10 in Roman numerals (out of business).
The poetry texts and the etchings are printed on bfk paper rives. On the colophon of the book there are all the information about the book and the etchings and the numeration and the signatures of Kounellis and De Dominicis.
Printed by Fratelli Bulla, Rome.
Hand-signed in pencil by Kounellis and by Giorgio De Dominicis.
The book includes two original etching realized by Kounellis; both the prints are hand-signed by the artist in pencil on the lower margin: Kounellis. The graphic works alternate with poetry texts. The cover of the book is realized with black satin hardcover and there is the original Italian title of the work: "Frammenti" (Fragments).
The book, the two etchings and the cover are in very good conditions.

Jannis Kounellis
Jannis Kounellis was the major exponent of the Italian art movement Arte Povera in the 20th century. Kounellis was born in Piraeus, Greece, in 1936. He lived in Greece during the Second World War and Greek Civil War before he moved to Rome in 1956.
