Ross H. Pollette (American, b. 1948) is a designer and author from San Francisco, California. Pollette writes under the pseudonyms 'Max West' and 'Ross X.' He frequently designs the covers for his books. From his bio, he describes himself as: "Designer/writer/composer/former CEO of Max West Enterprises-- lives and works in San Francisco CA. [...] He likes raising carnivorous plants, beer and cast metal sculptures. West has been in wars--doesn't approve of them; is against 'Time' and 'consensus reality', is for creativity and human dignity.
