About the Item
It was an epiphany, It was at a time when I was changing who I would be. The church was also the preschool my children were going to; staring at that wall marked the start of my three hours. To email and call and work doing anything that required two hands and no burbling in the background, then I would pick the kids up and go back the the fullness of my peopled life. but that moment, looking at the fall of light, it was so poignant that I had to paint it. I painted this a while ago. It is very different to the figurative work I was doing at the time so it found itself in the corner of my studio.
