Alexandre Clarys, born in Brussels on July 23, 1857 and died in Ixelles on February 11, 1920 (at the age of 62), is a Belgian animal painter whose specificity is the representation of realistic scenes decorated mainly with dogs and horses. He was also an illustrator and poster artist.
