"Es" 120 x 180 cm, oil on canvas glued on wood 2012 The second image shows the artist in front of one of her paintings. Instantdreams Gallery presents Chandra Fanti "Chandra Fanti is born in 1982 in Terni, Italy. She spent her childhood and youth in a small village in the center of Italy. Daughter of a painter, she immediately develops the passion for drawing and painting. She graduated in Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, in 2009. During the Academy's years she develops a profound interest in the work of Antonin Artaud, Gilles Deleuze, Francis Bacon, Gina Pane, Franko B, Louise Bourgeois. Those on the border between psychology and art, those who dig under the skin of society. During the study period her desire to dig under the surface, under the skin of appearance is manifested in a physical way : she painted on the table and with a tool similar to a razor she broke the boards reducing them to shreds. In 2010 she moved to Berlin to deepen her research and in 2012 she began to shape the first rooms where the figure of the horse appears. The horse is a hypersensitive armor, a sort of Trojan horse where she hides to enter into her feelings and her memories. The digging process goes through the personal experience, using personal feelings to gain access to ancestral feelings, to the roots. "Know yourself" ( Γνώθι σεαυτόν, Gnothi seauton ). Henrietta Caledon, Seagulls, Original Oil Painting, Seascape Art, Affordable Art
By Henrietta Caledon
Located in Deddington, GB
Henrietta Caledon Seagulls Original Oil Painting Oil on Wood Canvas Size: H 51cm x W 61cm Sold Unframed Please note that in situ images are purely an indication of how a piece may look). Landscape painting of seagulls fishing in the sea by Henrietta Caledon. There is a family of seagulls that live on my roof, and I became fascinated by them during the lockdown. They are so agile, and they represent ‘soaring above the drama’, ‘looking at things from a different angle’, adaptability, stamina, resourcefulness, and freedom. The turquoise and blue colours of the sea almost swallow the gulls in the waves and their orange beaks are a wonderful contrast. Henrietta Caledon was born in London in 1964. Studied art and history of art for O’level and A’level at West Heath School and then Queensgate School. Trained at Xium International design service company in 1982/83. Started interior decorating business Henrietta Designs in 1984 and have carried out many projects around the world for thirty five years, working a lot with design and colour. 2016-2019, Trained with Nick Bashall at Rossetti Studios and the sketch club at Dilke Street. 2018 exhibited three paintings in group exhibition at The Hurlingham Club, London. 2019 solo exhibition at Kiki McDonough...
