About the Item
I love the arrival of summer when fields are filled with a riot of blooming flowers. Dandelions give way to poppies, and the entire meadow seems to be draped in them, as if they’re warmly greeting the sunny day. I’d love to pick a bouquet of poppies and bring them home, but I know their beauty won’t last long. So, I choose to savor their splendor in the wild.
About the artist
Tamara Makhotina (pseudonym Rozinskaya) was born in 1961 in Tbilisi, Georgia, and moved to Russia at 12. She became a psychotherapist after 40, helping women overcome depression. At 54, she turned to painting to support a colleague's project and found it helped her recover emotionally during health challenges.
