About the Item
The artwork "Vigorous Mompreneur" by Akande John is a striking representation of the strength and resilience of women in the marketplace. The painting depicts a few women in a bustling market space, with one woman prominently displayed selling pepper and tomatoes.
The woman selling pepper and tomatoes in the painting is a testament to the entrepreneurial spirit of women in the marketplace. She stands confidently behind her stall, surrounded by her products and customers. Her expression is one of determination and focus, as she goes about her business with vigor.
The other women in the painting are equally impressive, as they navigate the crowded market space with ease and confidence. They carry baskets of goods, negotiate with customers, and engage in lively conversations with one another.
Akande John's use of color and texture in the painting is particularly striking, as it captures the vibrancy and energy of the market space. The reds of the peppers and tomatoes, the light yellow of the clothing worn by the women, and the busy background of people and products all come together to create a dynamic and engaging image.
Through "Vigorous Mompreneur," Akande John celebrates the ingenuity and strength of women in the marketplace. The woman selling pepper and tomatoes in the painting embodies the spirit of entrepreneurship, demonstrating that women have the power to create and innovate, even in challenging circumstances.
In a world where women continue to face significant barriers to economic empowerment, "Vigorous Mompreneur" is a powerful reminder of the potential that exists when women are given the support and resources they need to succeed. This artwork serves as an inspiration to all women who aspire to be entrepreneurs and a tribute to those who have already blazed a trail in the marketplace.

We forget what it is like
to laugh, to play,
we forget what it is like to
exist in moments of joy.
Playfulness is an attitude of pure glee,
playing is curiosity in action,
approaching each moment as new,
full of beautiful possibility, of imagination.
It's a grace and laughter
even when falling and crawling
It uses our bodies, hearts, minds, and spirits to explore the world around us with kindness and awe.
But we often forget this because of worries and anxiety
We need to remember to play.

Anil Kumar Yadav - Mahalaxmi - 36 x 48 inches (unframed size)
Acrylic on Canvas , 2014
( UNFRAMED ALL IN DOOR DELIVERED )
STYLE : Anil Kumar Yadav is an Artist from Kolkata who was born in 1984 a village in Uttar Pradesh. He grew up among villagers with modest lives and the village culture. The Rangolis at the village festival and the local potters’ fine works of art inspired him greatly towards art as a hobby and potential career from early childhood.
His father was then posted to Kolkata so their family relocated to the city. Once the capital of India, with its rich cultural heritage and character immediately caught my attention. He started painting for the first time in the city.
Since the central theme to his paintings is related to present day society, his works appear photographic or naturalistic. The religious ghats of Varanasi, Haridwar and other antique places attracted him for their cultural heritage characterised by the holy saints, antique architectures, old idol sculptures and mysticism, spirituality. So he portrayed the simplicity of the architectural doors, temples, sculptures and the beautiful narrow streets and ‘galis’ which holds beauty that can not be described in words.
He always prefers a highly realistic approach in his paintings for whatever he sees in his surroundings. He started to represent paintings in a form whose expression manifests a step ahead of photography. He has always tried to reach to a horizon where photography cannot reach and make a statement what is called hyperrealism.
